He have been actively involved in productions and numerous performing arts events as a Writer, Director as well as a performer. He have also founded several performing arts group. He is also a singer, songwriter and a composer and have achieved several accolades and nominations in national recognized award shows.

Sidang Alifah is a one female play/ Monologue presented during the Freedom Festival Malaysia 2018. The play was presented as part of the festival's Kotak Seni Performance space. The play acted by Nur Sufiqah Natrah tells a story about a widow's struggle and her denial in coming to terms about her husband's death.

As 1 of the 9 selected poet to present literary works at Esplanade concourse, Hidayat presented "MAKAN BERDAMAI" , a new poem written in conjuction of the festive February programes alongside "Budaya bahasa belia" with Nusantara Arts.

"Pemangkin" came in first place in the Malay Language open category Poetry Competition by Poetry Festival Sg. Along with "Pemangkin/Catalyst" , "Paper Airplanes", an English Language Poem was also selected to be featured in SG Poems Anthology, a biannual publication of a compilation of works from local writers and poets.
